
The 70th edition of Flormart exceeds six thousand admissions, with visitors from 52 countries, 19 regions and 102 Italian provinces. Over 300 exhibitors who from Thursday 26 to Saturday animated the international exhibition of horticulture, landscape architecture and green infrastructures at the Padua Fair. More than 200 experts brought their skills to over 60 events including conferences, workshops and presentations. «This edition of Flormart was the first event managed by the new governance of public shareholders, which took office in mid-July – comments Luca Veronesi, general manager of Fiera di Padova -. It was important to give a signal of trust and we succeeded, as shown by the growth of national and international visitors. The choice to combine horticulture, which has always been Flormart’s key sector, worked with the applications of greenery in landscape architecture, in urban parks and in the world of research and startups. We are already working for the 2020 edition, which will confirm and deepen this approach. “The jury of the Flormart Prize, formed by Alberto Manzo of the Ministry of Agricultural, Forest Food and Tourism Policies, Renato Ferretti of Lineaverde and Cristiana Bertero, project manager of Flormart, has awarded four prizes and as many special mentions for companies that have distinguished themselves for the quality of the product or service proposed. For the “Nursery and floriculture” section, Masaro Vivai di Legnaro (Padua) wins, with a special mention to Minier from Beaufort en Valleè (France). For the section “Technologies and technical products” wins Peruzzo di Curtarolo (Padua), with special mention to Gea di Sona (Verona). The award for the best stand in the “Innovation” field went to the Fast, Nuovo Verde, System Turf and Marchini Abeti grouping of companies, while the Compagnia del Lago Maggiore in Verbania won the special mention for the “Green Innovation Hub” section. (Verbania Cusio Ossola). Serranova of Perugia wins the award for the “Architecture and sustainable design” sector, while the mention goes to Green Habitat of Marmorta (Bologna).
